DCF successfully conducted its 3-day Financial Planning and Forecasting public seminar held on June 16, 23 and 30, 2018 at the Cesar E.A. Virata School of Business, UP Diliman, Quezon City.

Day_1_1

Dr. Arthur Cayanan handled Day 1. He discussed the important building blocks needed for Financial Planning and Forecasting – Macroeconomics with actual Philippine historical data, Industry Analysis including some of the common tools used and Strategic Planning.

Day_2

Financial statement analysis, another building block, was discussed by both Dr. Cayanan and Professor Raniel Pamatmat on Day 2. They explained the process of financial forecasting using the financial statement method as well as the steps to prepare a cash budget. Topics were reinforced with several exercises.

Day_3

Day 3 was held at the computer laboratory where Professor Diogenes Dy gave participants hands-on experience in Financial Modeling using MS Excel. They did forecasting of income statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements, as well as discounted cash flow valuation.

There were 47 participants and some of the feedback were as follows:
